Vlc streamer for apple tv3/19/2024 For now, I may just have to keep 2 blu-ray players attached or return the Panasonic. I tried the free version of Infuse 6, but it wants a subscription to play anything above Dolby Digital 5.1/1080p, and I didn't see specific mention of Atmos or DTSX so I don't want to risk paying money to find out it's a "nope".Īny ideas would be appreciated. I don't need it to decode them, just play them. My guess is Dolby and DTS require a license, but was hoping it could just pass them through. The receiver just said "multi-channel" so not real specific what was happening. I think it was playing the downmixed 5.1 or maybe 7.1, but I lost my ceiling channels. I downloaded the VLC app on my Apple TV 4K, and it was no surprise it played everything fine, but to my disappointment, multi-channel audio codecs were not perfectly preserved. So I'm back to trying to find an Apple TV App that can do this. These files play fine with proper Atomos / DTS:X support from my Sony UBP-X800, but I just upgraded that to a Panasonic DP-UB820 which produces no audio on a majority of the files. VLC Media Player alternatives are mainly Media. Using a VLC media player for Mac, you can easily stream videos from Mac to TV. If you cant find an alternative you can try to remove all filters. I have a DLNA server with various file types on it: Der VLC-Player für Apple TV ist endlich da. I'm running a 7.1.4 (11.1 channel) speaker configuration. Has anyone found an App for Apple TV that can play Atmos / DTS:X from a DLNA server?
